Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced this evening (Wednesday) that he will appoint a special project manager to deal with the Arab public, including the rising crime in the sector: Retired Superintendent Aaron Franco, who previously served as Commissioner of the Prison Service.
"I got to work with him, and I was impressed by his seriousness, professionalism and fairness," Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu visited with Minister of Internal Security Amir Ohana at the national police headquarters in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu referred in his remarks to the recent incidents of violence and harm to innocent people in the sector, after the death of student Ahmad Hijazi during an exchange of gunfire between criminals and police in Tamra.
"The vast majority of the Arab public is law-abiding and wants to integrate. A small minority is responsible for crime," Netanyahu said.
The Prime Minister has announced that he will set up a special ministerial committee to deal with the Arab sector that he will head.
"The immediate plan includes collecting weapons, building police stations and setting up welfare institutions," Netanyahu said.
