The presidential, Yannick Jadot "prepares" for it.

This Wednesday, the MEP EELV officially put its “2022, ecology!” Platform online.

"On which he presents fifteen first proposals" for an ecological and social Republic ".

Ideas therefore but no candidacy for the open primary of environmentalists scheduled for September.

His probable competitor, the mayor of Grenoble Eric Piolle, who also launched his political platform “Another idea of tomorrow” last week, is also waiting.

Only Sandrine Rousseau, ex-number 2 of EELV, has officially declared herself.

However, behind the scenes, the preparations for this primary organized by the environmentalist pole, namely Europe Ecologie-les Verts and five small partner parties, are going well.

"We have a plan and we stick to it," confirms EELV number one Julien Bayou.

In early March, a digital platform will be put online and will be used both to build the green program for 2022 and to vote to designate the candidate who will compete in the presidential election.

It will be open to activists from the six parties concerned (some 35,000 members) but also to supporters who will have to pay 1 or 2 euros in order to finance the device.

These will first have to sign a charter in which they will undertake to support the victorious candidate.

"They must not become machines to lose"

No participation target has been set, but the more optimistic are hoping for up to 200,000 participants.

“Objectively, it has never been so important to know who will represent ecology in the presidential election,” insists Hélène Hardy, election delegate at EELV.

The coming months will be marked by six thematic conventions to feed the presidential project.

As for the candidates, they will be able to declare themselves from July and will be presented to the summer days of environmentalists at the end of August.

"The start of the school year will be green and we will be fully operational in the fall," predicts Julien Bayou

Will this ideal scenario come to an end?

While saying "loyal to (his) political family" in an interview with the Parisian, Yannick Jadot threw a stone in the pond, suggesting this Wednesday during a press conference that he did not fully adhere to the format of this primary between only environmentalists.

Partisan "of a common candidacy between Mélenchon and Macron" therefore including the socialists, he defended "a process of designation on the scale of this political space".

"I hope, I have no doubt, that collective intelligence will lead us to make the right choices", also warned the MEP before letting go: "The primaries must not become machines to lose.

“Heavy statements of threats that do not place the green primary under the best auspices.
