2021-02-03T09:14:04.309Z

The Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne, recalls that the work must “as much as possible” be done 100% remotely when possible.

Teleworking must remain the norm.

Élisabeth Borne hammered it again this Wednesday at the microphone of Radio Classique.

Very clearly, today, I say it: we must reinforce the use of teleworking which is one of the measures which must avoid re-containment.

I appeal to business leaders and employees to strengthen the implementation of this teleworking.

It is a call to responsibility

”, indicated the Minister of Labor.

Élisabeth Borne said she was "

aware

" of the effort required of employees, more and more likely to return to the office since the entry into force in January of the relaxation of the health protocol in the company.

The latter authorizes a return one day per week maximum.

However, many companies are more flexible in this area.

According to a recent study, among employees indicating that they could telework "

easily

", only 30% declared to have remained at home 100% at the end of January against 45% in November.

Screw turn

The government brought together the social partners at the beginning of the week to remind them of the rules of the game. “

Everything that can be done remotely must be done 100% remotely.

I asked the social partners to relay this message to companies,

”explained Élisabeth Borne.

The Minister warns that this measure will be subject to increased control.

We have identified sectors where teleworking has declined so we contact them one by one to re-engage them.

I confirm that my services will strengthen their interventions in companies to advise, control and if necessary sanction,

”she assures.
