The prefecture had never enforced a judgment of November 2019 ordering his release. The owner found herself in

As soon as her apartment was recovered, Emmanuelle Iches hastened to install an armored door and an alarm to never relive such a nightmare.

His studio, squatted for almost two years, has only just been evacuated this Wednesday morning by the police.

But while we had left her a week ago furious against the inaction of the State, wishing to publicize her story to move the lines, and that we thought to find her at least relieved, he does not is nothing.

"I can not rejoice, laments the 49-year-old woman, tears in her eyes.

It is only a step, not the end of my ordeal.

"

A two-year ordeal

An ordeal that began in March 2019, when the charming studio of Emmanuelle Iches, located rue de Trévise in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, was vacated by its tenant.

Immediately, a mother moved her family there.

If she claims to be the victim of a false lease scam, "it was not," assures the owner.

She simply forced open the door to my apartment to squat it.

What she had already done for three years in Epinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis).

"

The renovation costs are estimated at more than 10,000 euros.

An extended eviction procedure then follows, despite a judgment in favor of the owner obtained in November 2019. But the prefecture had still not enforced it.

It is now done since Wednesday.

In pain, however.

"I came Monday to try to see the state of the apartment, for fear that they leave before the intervention of the police with everything that was inside, says the forty-something.

I heard a lot of noises, especially saws.

I told myself that they were ransacking everything.

So I knocked on the door, and the squatter told me that they were vacating the apartment on Tuesday.

"

Squatters threaten each other

Emmanuelle Iches therefore returns on Tuesday, with a bailiff and her real estate agent, to regain possession of her property.

But the tone is rising.

“The squatter wanted to hit me.

Her 14-year-old son mimed a throat cut at me.

And they went after other people.

Called in, the police took part of the family into custody.

And the apartment could not be returned until Wednesday.

From now on, Emmanuelle Iches will have to repair it.

Broken windows, humidity on the walls, torn electrical outlets, defective radiators, blown television… There is work.

“The studio had been refurbished.

My real estate agent estimates that there are 10,000 to 15,000 euros.

But I don't have the money for!

»Recalls the culinary blogger with limited income.

No longer receiving rent for her apartment for two years, she herself is threatened with eviction from the accommodation she rents in the 18th arrondissement, as she can no longer pay its owner.

A court hearing is scheduled for March.

No compensation from the police headquarters

To get by, Emmanuelle Iches is counting on a reaction from the prefecture, which for the time being refuses her any compensation.

“Yet I am entitled to it, since they did not enforce the judgment of November 2019. They owe me around 10,000 euros.

But there again, there would be a problem in my file… ”

Asked, the prefecture of Paris has so far not answered our questions.

“This whole story is a succession of scandals,” sums up Emmanuelle Iches.

My apartment was squatted, the prefecture washed its hands of it to accommodate a family with a 2-year-old child today, who will now be entitled to emergency rehousing in the social park before all the other applicants .
