Again there was a mass infection with the corona virus in a Bavarian refugee home.

As the district office in Tirschenreuth reported on Wednesday, a total of 44 new cases have been registered in a shared accommodation for asylum seekers in the eastern Bavarian district town since the previous day.

This was around half of all new infections found in the district.

The district was previously Germany's corona hotspot.

According to the RKI, Tirschenreuth was still at the top across Germany on Wednesday with a seven-day incidence of 297.
