Families are to receive a child bonus again this year to cushion the corona costs.

The leaders of the Union and the SPD agreed on Wednesday on a one-time child benefit grant of 150 euros per child, as both sides announced after the meeting in Berlin.

The result of the coalition committee is available to SPIEGEL.

Last year there was 300 euros per child to stimulate consumption during the crisis.

In addition, the grand coalition wants to financially support people with basic security because of the corona crisis.

The leaders of the Union and SPD agreed on a one-time Corona grant of 150 euros.

Companies should be relieved.

With an extended loss carry-back, you should be able to offset corona-related losses in your tax return more extensively than before with profits from previous years.

A reduced VAT rate of seven percent is to apply to meals in restaurants and cafés by the end of 2022.

The exemption, initially limited to June 30, will be extended, as Union and SPD announced in the evening.
