A diverse poetry evening between tradition, renewal, classical, spoken and lyrical in Thaqafi al-Adawi

The poetry evening, fragrant flower in the poetry team, varied between weighted and prose, and its concerns between emotional, patriotic, social and humanitarian.

The evening organized by the Cultural Center in Al-Adawi, the poet Saleh Al-Hajj, began with vertical poems that were distinguished by their sweet music entitled Departure and the Shines of Love, in addition to a poem sung in his city of Raqqa and his longing for his hometown and the courts of boyhood.

The poet Kholoud Al-Yaqoubi participated in texts that varied between al-Muzawun and al-Tafila with titles of longing, strange, we were, bed and absence, and her texts were distinguished by their tendency to modernity, innovative poetic images, and sweet transparent language.

The poetess Asma al-Kilani presented two vertical texts that were characterized by their tendency to classicism in terms of vocabulary, compositions and meanings.

Poet Iman Al-Sabbagh read a poem that was distinguished by her wild music, with the title I alone deposited my corpse in which I embodied the heroics of the fighter on the way to martyrdom, while the participation of the poet Suleiman Al-Zoubi came with a vertical poem that belongs to the traditional school in terms of phrasing and linguistic structures.

Poet Salim al-Maghribi also participated in vertical poems entitled Rahal, Latif and Poetry, and she said: “Kafa” belongs to the traditional school of poetry, while the poet Khouzama Shalabi presented an elegy vertical poem entitled “Tear of Cannon” which, in its images and meanings, drifted into modernity.

As for the poetess Saba Ba'aj, she presented a vertical poem entitled “Shouq Kanon” in addition to poems in the vernacular colloquial distinguished by her amazing pictures. The poet Samar then recites two poems entitled If they hide me and a confession that varied between tradition and renewal in form and content.

The evening was concluded with lyrical poems by the poet Ibrahim al-Nuri, accompanied by the oud playing, the artist Iskandar Ubaid, where the poet Ben al-Nuri Lana said that what he presented was the examples of the Furati heritage varied between poems, reproaches, Buddhism, Mullah, and Lala, pointing to the importance of reviving the region’s heritage and presenting it to cultural platforms.

The evening was moderated by poet Qatada Al-Zubaidi, and critic Ahmed Hilal provided literary lighting on the participating texts.
