Even during the pandemic, customers stick to the Maisacher Brewery: The sale of beer traps straight from the truck is going well.

The brewery can be seen on TV on Thursday, February 4th.

The radio also reports.

Maisach / Mammendorf - The Mammendorfer expressed their solidarity with the Maisach brewery on Saturday.

Even before the start of the first “winter ramp” sale on the Volksfestplatz in Mammendorf, customers were standing by the truck. For 20 euros there was a case of beer, a glass of your choice and a beer mat for free.

The brewery launched the campaign on its premises in December 2020.

After the great popularity, the first sale from the truck ramp followed.

"We want to set an example that we can hold out even in these difficult times and continue to be there for our customers," confirms the owner of the traditional brewery, Michael Schweinberger.

He carried out the action with his son Tim.

Further ramp sales are planned.

Today (February 4th) the Maisacher brewery can be seen on BR television.

It had been selected by the Bavarian Brewers' Association to represent the difficult situation of the small breweries.

The contribution is shown in the broadcasts of the "Rundschau".

Just like all private breweries in Bavaria, the Maisach brewery is threatened by the effects of the lockdown.

Two-thirds of sales, according to Schweinberger, are gone without replacement: the inns, club houses, the beer gardens are closed, folk and other festivals are canceled.

Instead of brewing on four out of five days, as usual, master brewer Roland Burger only fills the kettle twice.

The other employees have been on short-time work for months.

“We're actually a ghost brewery at the moment,” says Schweinberger, frustrated.

He puts the loss in sales in January at 63 percent.

State aid is rather modest for small to medium-sized breweries, the bank's support is on a cautious level, he reports.

On Thursday (February 4th), the Bavarian Brewers' Association will therefore issue a statement on the situation in Bavarian breweries.

Incidentally, the TV report is followed by a radio report from Maisach: to be heard on Thursday, February 11, on the “Notebook” program between 11 a.m. and 12 noon.
