Annamaria Franzoni appeared in court in Aosta as a civil party in a trial for trespassing in which a journalist and a telecine operator are accused.

18 years after the Cogne crime, the woman then returned to the same courthouse where she had been heard in the investigation into the murder of her son Samuele, for whom she was definitively convicted.

Accompanied by her lawyer, she left the court covering her face with the hood of her jacket, without declaring anything.

"We have nothing to declare," his lawyer told ANSA.

The story stems from a television report in December 2019. At the time the Cogne villa was back in the limelight because the lawyer Carlo Taormina, former lawyer of Annamaria Franzoni, had asked for its foreclosure.

Annamaria Franzoni denounced in the courtroom

a macabre tourism to the villa of Cogne

, the scene of the murder of little Samuele, with vandalism, over time, by

people who entered the appurtenances to steal objects to be kept as a souvenir, such as a thermometer

.

In court in Aosta, during the trial for trespass against a journalist and a telecine operator, Franzoni said he feared that the entry of the television crew could encourage emulative acts by other people.

This is why his denunciation is aimed at discouraging similar initiatives.

Although the villa is subject to foreclosure, the woman pointed out, she is its guardian, therefore she has a duty to supervise that property and must answer for it in case of damage.

Franzoni, the civil party together with her husband, also said she was annoyed that after many years her story is still being talked about.

The trial before the single judge of the Aosta court Maurizio D'Abrusco and the honorary deputy prosecutor Cinzia Virota took place behind closed doors.

Having formed a civil party together with her husband, Stefano Lorenzi, who is not present today, Franzoni said in the courtroom that she had been advised by relatives and friends of that service.

Searching for the episode of the broadcast on the web, he noticed that the crew had entered the annexes of the chalet, in particular in the courtyard and on the balcony.

He had therefore decided to file a complaint.

The hearing was postponed for the examination of the two defendants: in the meantime, a possible agreement between the parties that could lead to the remission of the complaint cannot be excluded.

Meanwhile, the first attempt to sell the villa will be held on February 19 in the court of Aosta (minimum offer 626 thousand 475 euros).

On the basis of a civil judgment that has become final in Bologna, Annamaria Franzoni owes her former lawyer over € 275,000 for the non-payment of defense fees, which became approximately 450,000 in the attachment deed.
