The doctors at the Hausham vaccination center carried out the first regular vaccinations against Corona yesterday, Thursday.

107 people were injected with the virus.

  • Real operation in the vaccination center of the district in Hausham has started.

  • 107 people received the corona vaccination.

  • There were also two incidents.

Hausham

- For Ruprecht Steinhübl, the prick that he received yesterday Thursday in the vaccination center of the district in Hausham fulfilled a dream.

The 46-year-old physics teacher from Waakirchen is paralyzed on one side after two strokes and has care level two.

His left lung is no longer working.

In addition, there are a total of seven previous illnesses, diabetes and high blood pressure, which make Steinhübl a high-risk patient.

The pandemic has given his life a break: his doctor has already postponed kidney stone surgery until he is vaccinated.

He currently only teaches his students digitally.

But in a few weeks, when he has received the second vaccination, Steinhübl hopes that he will be able to return to the classes in Reichersbeuern and Bad Tölz and finally make an appointment for the operation.

“I'm so relieved,” he says shortly after receiving the injection.

Steinhübl is one of around 100 members of the highest priority group who were vaccinated against Corona in two shifts from 9.30 a.m. yesterday in Hausham.

They had registered via the vaccination portal and had now been invited to the appointment.

It was the first regular vaccination at the vaccination center.

District office satisfied with the first day in real operation

According to the district office, the employees of the vaccination center are satisfied with the first day of real operation.

The waiting times were short, the handles would have been perfect.

"The atmosphere was calm and relaxed," says vaccination center manager Beate Faus.

"I hope we were able to pass this on to the seniors, who were sometimes quite nervous."

Faus' statement shows: Steinhübl was one of the youngest to be vaccinated on Thursday.

The age difference is no coincidence: Steinhübl fought for the vaccination.

The county had originally classified him in priority group three because of his age and would not have vaccinated him for months.

Steinhübl was appalled because of his sick lungs and the many contacts he had as a teacher.

His family doctor advised him to do everything possible to get a vaccination soon.

So the Waakirchner politician wrote to him and finally called on a lawyer: He was being discriminated against because he was too young.

The Ministry of Health gave him the highest priority, he reports.

That was the only reason he was vaccinated.

“It's not about me,” says Steinhübl, “but I know many high-risk patients who have to wait a long time.

You have been forgotten. "

After the vaccination, Steinhübl waits a good hour on a chair with his crutch in hand.

Because he is driving home, he wants to be absolutely sure that there will be no side effects.

They stay out.

“It was like a flu shot,” he says.

"Measles or tetanus are much more uncomfortable."

Two incidents in front of the vaccination center

There were two incidents yesterday in front of the vaccination center.

One person tried to forcefully enter the vaccination center without an appointment.

The security service couldn't stop the man.

Only the police managed that.

Another person could not prove their habitual residence in the district.

She has to be vaccinated in her home town of Munich.

The two vaccine doses were given to other high-priority individuals.

Even today, some people are still vaccinated against Corona in the vaccination center.

After that, calm returns there: when the next cans will arrive is still open.
