The FBI on Wednesday identified David Lee Huber, 55, as the perpetrator of the shots that killed two agents Tuesday who were investigating a case of child pornography in a home in Sunrise, a Florida city.
Investigators said Huber killed Special Agents
Daniel Alfin, 36, and Laura Schwartzenberger, 43,
and injured three other officers when they attempted to issue a search warrant in a child pornography investigation early Tuesday morning.
The two FBI agents killed during the operation were ambushed by the suspect at their home, who shot them through the door with a rifle and then took his own life.

Huber worked as
a systems engineer
and had two technology companies, Huber Computer Consulting and Computer Troubleshooters 0512 Inc., under his name, according to business records cited by The Washington Post.
In 1994, he was issued a pilot certificate, according to Federal Aviation Administration records.
He was divorced in 2016 and court records indicate that he had at least one child, the quoted outlet added.
FBI Director Christopher Wray met with relatives of the slain officers on Wednesday.
The attack
Agents Schwartzenberger and Alfin were to confiscate Huber's computer and other evidence, after the FBI's specialized child pornography squad linked the computer's internet protocol address and the suspect's physical address.

Other
three officers were wounded

be taken to hospital after being shot but are in stable condition.
The
suspect
remained in the home located in the Water Terrace apartment complex until he finally
took his own life.
The president, Joe Biden, regretted the incident on Tuesday and sent his condolences to the families of the victims.

Who were the victims
Schwartzenberger
, a Colorado native and mother of two, was an FBI veteran who had been with the agency since 2005. She was a member of the Violent Crimes Against Children Squad at the local Miami office.

Alfin
, from New York and the father of a son, had been a special FBI agent since 2009 and had been assigned to the Miami child exploitation task force.

Alfin made headlines seven years ago when he led a team that took down a Naples, Florida man who was

Steven Chase had created the website on Tor, an open Internet network where users could communicate anonymously through "hidden services" websites.
Playpen had more than 150,000 users worldwide.

The FBI launched an investigation in 2014 after Playpen's IP address was accidentally revealed.
