Giro d'Italia will open in Turin in its 2021 edition | CNN

This Thursday, the Giro d'Italia announced through a statement that its historic career will begin from the city of Turin.

This Thursday, the Giro d'Italia announced through a statement that its historic career will begin from the city of Turin.  

The Corsa Rosa will have the 3 initial stages will be in the area Stage 2 from Stupinigi (Nichelino) to Novara, Stage 3 from Biella to Canale.

In the last week, the Giro will return to Piedmont, with an arrival on a mountain that will reach Alpe di Mera leaving Verbania.  

For the third time, Turin will host the great game of the Giro, the last time was in 1961, during the celebration of the unification of Italy.  

The Novara region had not received a stage in the Italian race since 1968, the year in which the legendary Eddy Merckx won his first pink jersey.
