According to a study published in the journal PLOS ONE, scientists uncovered clues to a possible mistake in the identity of a mummy that was acquired in 1860 by an Australian antiquarian.
According to new technology, the researchers found that the mummy was about a woman who had lived 26 to 35 years, even though DNA samples taken about 15 years ago indicated that it was a man.
