The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Latakia arrested a network of selling, promoting and consuming narcotic substances in Lattakia and Jableh.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement, which SANA received a copy of, that as a result of the continuous follow-up and search for wanted persons and those with precedents for drug crimes, the Narcotics Control Branch in Latakia managed to arrest a network of sale, promotion and abuse of narcotic substances in the cities of Lattakia and Jableh consisting of five people led by a person called himself Abu Ali Al-Badawi and seized In possession of a quantity of the drug heroin placed in paper envelopes prepared for sale, numbering 58 envelopes, a number of Captagon pills, a cessation of cannabis, an iron scale used to weigh heroin, and another person wanted by several police bulletins for drug crimes.

The ministry indicated that, by investigating the two arrested, they confessed that they had sold and promoted drugs in both the cities of Lattakia and Jableh, in partnership with other people, and through research and investigation, the branch was able to arrest the rest of their three partners, so that it became clear that all of them were among the owners of the precedents, and by interrogating them they confessed what was attributed to them.

The ministry indicated that narcotic substances were confiscated, and investigations and research are still continuing to uncover all those involved in the case to take the necessary measures against them.
