Big problem on the RER B this Thursday evening!
Due to the rupture of at least one catenary, traffic on the line had to be completely interrupted throughout the north of the line, from Châtelet-Les Halles, this Thursday, from 8:50 pm. Around 23 hours, the line manager did not announce a return to normal before the end of service.

Traffic on the RER D was also affected by the failure, its trains taking part of the same route as the RER B. Traffic was interrupted there between Stade de France Saint-Denis and Paris Gare de Lyon, in both directions , until the end of service.
Contacted by telephone by Le Parisien on Thursday evening, the communication service of Transilien, which manages the north of the RER B, from Gare du Nord, could not provide us with additional information as to the nature of the failure and the possible consequences to be expected on Friday morning.
RATP could not be reached.
On social networks, several users have expressed their distress.
"I'm stuck on the train stationary in the tunnel," said a traveler on Twitter, questioning the line's account.
Another recounted having turned around to return to the “office” rather than taking the alternative routes: “No question of risking being in the middle of nowhere at this hour.

The RER B offers on its website the display of alternative routes to allow users to reach their destination without having to use the RER.
