Now it's finally getting started in Riem: On Wednesday, the first Munich residents of the highest risk group got the injection on site at the fair.

A total of 450 appointments were activated up to and including Thursday.
The first and second vaccinations are then continued by medical staff at the weekend.
How many vaccination appointments can be made in the coming week depends on the number of vaccine doses available - and this has not yet been determined.
The first people to be vaccinated in Riem are very old - people around 100 years old.
Background: The coronavirus * is particularly dangerous for seniors.
And because there is not yet enough vaccine available for everyone, initially only people of the highest priority level are vaccinated (in addition to those over 80, this includes medical and nursing staff who are particularly at risk from their work).
In total, around 120,000 people in Munich fall into this highest priority level.
100-year-olds among the first to be vaccinated - "A good feeling"
Anneliese Hönig (100) was among the first picks in Riem on Wednesday.
The senior citizen, who came to the fair with her daughter, is delighted: “To be vaccinated is a good feeling.
There's a little bit of security.
I have grandchildren - I want to finally play with them again.
And I also want to spend carefree time with my children.
I have now come one step closer to that.
Everything worked well here at the vaccination center: I got through right away.
I had my appointment at 2:15 pm, I was here on time and everything went smoothly. "

Anyone who wants to be vaccinated in Riem (currently only people over 80 years of age are eligible) must register on the Internet at impfzentren.bayern.
If there is enough vaccine, the vaccination center will activate appointments - the order is determined according to the priority lists.
The portal then sends requests to make an appointment.
If you are over 80 and have no internet, you can register by calling 089/90 429 2222 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
The request to make an appointment is sent by letter - only then can the appointment be made over the vaccination phone.
