Yemenis organized a protest stand in front of the United Nations office in the Yemeni capital Sanaa today under the slogan (piracy on fuel vessels is a comprehensive crime ... with a full international partnership) to denounce the continued detention of the Saudi aggression coalition of oil derivatives ships.
The Yemeni News Agency (Saba) stated that the participants in the stop, who are from the Yemeni Oil Company, denounced the "flawed" international silence regarding the crimes of aggression and its arbitrary practices and its continued piracy against ships of oil derivatives and preventing their entry to the port of Hodeidah.
In a statement, the company warned that the continued prevention of entry of fuel ships would lead to a humanitarian catastrophe, as most vital service sectors such as health, transportation and electricity stop providing their services to citizens.
In a statement to the media, the Executive Director of the Yemeni Oil Company, Ammar Al-Adrai, explained that the US-backed Saudi aggression coalition is still holding 12 ships of oil derivatives and is preventing their entry to the port of Hodeidah, even though these ships have obtained permits from the United Nations after they have been subjected to the verification and inspection mechanism, explaining that these are detained Ships in the port of Jizan for more than nine months incurred many fines for Yemen and caused additional costs for the Yemeni people.
The Saudi regime has continued its aggression against Yemen since March 2015, using all kinds of weapons, which has caused tens of thousands of civilian casualties and massive damage to the infrastructure. The widespread siege imposed by this regime has also caused a great human tragedy and deprived the Yemeni people of their basic needs in terms of medicine and food.
