The Ofer Malls chain announced today (Friday) that it will allow store owners to open their businesses in their malls on Sunday.

The announcement comes after the Big chain announced that they would open the shopping centers on Sunday, in violation of the Corona regulations.

Moshe Rosenblum, CEO of Ofer Malls, told Israel Today: "On Sunday, our malls will be clean and tidy.

However, the tenants' decision is whether to open or not.

I can not force them to open.

"The dilemma for a large part of the tenants is whether to return the workers from the Knesset, because the state pays them the wages. Some workers do not want to return because they are afraid of receiving fines on the way to work."

Asked which of the chains are planning to open, Rosenblum said: "We are checking now. Harel Wiesel, owner of the Fox Group, has announced that he will open all of the group's stores. Hamashbir is still in a dilemma. Super Pharm and Bee, which are considered vital businesses, will open as well. Yet".

The Zim Urban Life shopping centers will also open on Sunday throughout the country.

The Azrieli Group, on the other hand, will probably follow the guidelines.

No response was received from Azrieli.

It will be recalled that the CEO of the Big Shopping Center chain announced that he would open the chain's shopping centers around the country on Sunday. In the previous two closures, Big announced that it would be the first to open its stores, even before approval was obtained, after the closure lasted a long time.

In a letter sent to tenants at the company's centers, Gallis wrote: "According to the government's decision at the moment, the current closure will end this coming Friday. The whole trade was supposed to open as promised to us by government members, and so it is done - opened. The Ministry of Health waves selective data to promote "His hysterical tendency is to close without borders, but in practice there is no closure in the streets, no enforcement where necessary as we all saw this week."

Meanwhile, the Catering Industry Forum welcomed the government's decision to return to allowing restaurateurs to operate through the takeaway, although they said the ban was "fundamentally wrong and caused enormous economic damage to the course industry anyway."

It was also reported that "the forum is looking forward to the next phase, which will allow restaurants to be seated within reasonable limits within two weeks."
