Cuba announces phase 3 of Sovereign 02 vaccine trials

Cuba will produce 100 million doses of its vaccine 0:42

This Thursday, the director general of the Finlay Vaccine Institute of Cuba, Vicente Vérez Bencomo, reported in the Roundtable program that the third phase of trials of the vaccine against covid-19, Soberana 02, will begin.

Phase 3 would begin in March and the vaccine would be tested in a group of 42,600 people.

The rehearsals will be in Havana.

Vérez Bencomo said that Cuba is in the large-scale production of the vaccine and they would be preparing the first batch of 100,000-dose vaccines.
