As long as a virus eradication strategy is not applicable, we must collectively think about how to better adapt our health strategy to the different sectors of activity
", underlines its president Bernard Jomier (PS).
For the co-rapporteur Roger Karoutchi (LR) “
the closure of places of culture is not only an economic problem.
It is also a question of social life, in particular for young people on whom weigh multiple responsibilities whereas they are a priori the least affected by the epidemic
”.
The mission also decided to “
carry out an in-depth analysis of the territorial dimension of health restrictions
”.
To this end, it should launch “
soon
” a consultation of local elected representatives on the Senate website.
"
The management of the crisis has given rise to strong misunderstandings in the territories
", notes the second rapporteur, Jean-Michel Arnaud (centrist), according to whom "
defining how to live with the virus taking into account territorial diversity is a priority objective
" .
The mission "
will also endeavor to determine the importance of local solidarity brought about by the management of the health crisis
".
The joint information mission will be based “
in an innovative way, on external expertise and not only on the expertise transmitted to us by the executive,
” Senate President Gérard Larcher told the press on Thursday.
Set up by the Conference of Presidents, this fact-finding mission follows a Senate commission of inquiry into the management of the Covid-19 epidemic which submitted its report in early December.
It is starting its work when the National Assembly has just ended its own information mission on the Covid-19 crisis.
