Messages are multiplying in the inboxes of Instagram users.
"I receive daily requests for group discussion of which the person who creates them gives links of a sexual nature", complains to the social network a user, in a message posted on Twitter.
“The additions to ass groups on Instagram are starting to do well,” adds another.
Have you also been spamming your DMs @instagram for a few days or is it just me?

@instagram hello, I get group chat requests every day where the person who created them gives sex links (like sexe18atcom) ... I report but I am told that these accounts meet the rules ... Yes, normal, they don't post anything

Receiving instagram spam to several recipients including @pierreniney is the most people / glamor experience I have had so far.

For all users, the experience is the same each time: we receive a message on Instagram - most of the time sent by a fake account -, we find ourselves in a group with other users in which one or more links lead to pornographic content.
It is not recommended to click on these links which could hide viruses.
It is difficult to explain why this type of message has multiplied in recent days.
Change settings to protect yourself
Contacted by the editorial staff of BFMTV, Instagram does not respond on the merits.
The social network, a subsidiary of Facebook, however reminds the channel to have provided "clear rules" against this type of behavior.
According to BFMTV, Instagram is investigating the accounts behind the spam emails.
Users can report the messages in question.
Users can stop these spam emails by adjusting their settings.
By going to "Settings", then "Notifications" and then "Direct messages", it is possible to authorize or not invitations by message or group messages.
Disabling them would put an end to spam… for now.
