Mayor Max Gotz does not give up the hope of being able to close a large gap in the cycle path network one day.
Erding - The cycle path gap between Walpertskirchen and Altenerding is almost two kilometers long.
While the path along the ED 14 district road in the neighboring community has long been finished, in the city of Erding one is still struggling to find the last section from Indorf.
And that for years.
When asked by Rainer Mehringer (Free Voters), Mayor Max Gotz (CSU) emphasized again in the city council: "It is not up to us that nothing is moving forward here, it is up to the legal representation of the property owners."
The mayor had already criticized several times that it was extremely difficult to contact this law firm and to make an appointment.
"It takes good nerves to get them to the table," affirmed Gotz.
But he had received some signals from the property owners and wanted to convene them in the autumn and reach an agreement.
This should be discussed with the Mayor of Walpertskirchen, Franz Hörmann and some local councilors from the neighboring village.
"Perhaps the property owners want to break away from legal representation," Gotz said into the room.
Mehringer had inquired because he feared that the 1.38 million euros set in the district budget for 2022 could be lost if the cycle path is not built.
Gotz could take this fear away from him.
In this case, the funds would only be postponed for a year.
