Some companies in the district have not even received November aid.

County

- Guilt was a software problem.

Once again.

Because the program for processing applications for November and December aid did not work, at least hundreds of entrepreneurs in the district had to wait for financial help.

One of them is Otto Lindinger from Aschheim.

He runs the "Hotel und Gasthof zur Post" and only received the full November aid on Monday.

What he is now demanding: a roadmap for the economy.

Corona in the Munich district: Companies are waiting for help for lockdown failures

The entrepreneur received 159,000 euros to help with the partial lockdown in November - 75 percent of its comparable sales in 2019. The aid payment sounds like a lot, says Lindinger, "but it's just a drop in the ocean".

In 2020, his sales fell by 85 percent.

Since April he has been keeping the company going from his own “financial cushion”.

Despite the losses, Lindinger is renovating 26 of its 80 rooms.

He has stopped the renovation of his event rooms, the uncertainty of how events will continue is too great.

Entrepreneurs now need certainties, says Lindinger: “A clear timetable is needed.

We entrepreneurs are like flags in the wind. "

Innkeeper Fritz Maurer from Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn has been holding out to this day, he has not yet received any November help.

The tenant of the old landlord is to receive tens of thousands of euros in compensation.

So far, Maurer has received an advance payment of 10,000 euros.

The money came in January.

Energy costs, tax consultants, lease, cost of goods - Maurer cannot finance his business from the partial payment.

His pub is running in to-go mode during the corona crisis.

"My eight employees are on short-time work, I top up their wages 100 percent," says the innkeeper.

He can only pay the expenses from private deposits.

But even those are used up at some point.

"I feel ripped off and let down," says the entrepreneur.

He needs the money from the Free State now, not in a few weeks.

Lindinger and Maurer are two of 55,695 entrepreneurs in Bavaria who applied for November aid in the corona crisis.

According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the volume is 922 million euros.

586 million euros were paid out by Tuesday.

In addition to November and December aid for companies affected by the lockdown, there is bridging allowance and other, smaller programs for special industries.

Problem with payment of November aid: A nationwide, digital administration platform

The fact that innkeepers like Maurer did not get the full help is due to a nationwide, digital administration platform for processing applications.

Entrepreneurs were able to submit applications, but the software did not work at the licensing offices.

The struggle for survival is now part of everyday operational life in many companies.

Florian Reil, spokesman for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria

The late payment of aid is a major problem for companies.

"The struggle for survival is now part of everyday business life in many companies," says Florian Reil, spokesman for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria.

Daniela Ziegler from the hotel and restaurant association DEHOGA adds: "The aid is not enough for the fixed costs." From the November aid, entrepreneurs would have to pay employees' short-time working allowances, and lease payments would also come.

Corona in Bavaria: Wirt plans for time after the pandemic - but not with the money of the state

Otto Lindinger does not have to pay rent - a decisive advantage.

Hotel and inn belong to him.

He believes in his business, despite the crisis.

Lindinger is already planning for the time after the pandemic.

Just not with government money.

One year of Corona in the Munich district: time to take stock.

In an interview, District Administrator Christoph Göbel talks about the blows and findings and reveals what he would do differently in retrospect.

Laboratories recently confirmed the new, "British" virus variant in several people in the county.

The number of unreported cases is certainly higher, says District Administrator Christoph Göbel.
