The old house they discovered on one of their trips in the area's seats, and in particular the magical garden in the center of an old bottle chorizo tree, they regained their hearts and urged them to embark on a new path.

For the task of adapting the home to their unique needs as a family, they chose interior designer Keren Gens who was able to create a system of connections and connections between the country style outside and a modern Scandinavian line mixed with Moroccan and ethnic touches inside.

They wanted to preserve the old and traditional appearance of the house from the outside, and update the interior (Photo: PR, Assaf Pinchuk)

The couple, in their 40s and parents of 3 young children, wanted to stay in the center but stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, moving to a more open, greener and quieter living environment.

In their search of nearby moshavim they found an old house with a magical garden surrounding it on all sides, facing endless fields.

On the eve of the move, both spouses stressed to the designer how important it is for them to maintain the character of the existing home in the old neighborhood (which made them fall in love with the house in the first place) and yet they longed for a significant interior upgrade that would make it modern, up-to-date, warm and inviting.

This is the second time that the couple chooses to work with Gens, after a few years ago she designed a small corner for them in their old apartment.

They connected to her ability to create a design that did not succumb to trends or "thanks" as well as her love of color, eclecticism and balanced designs, not cluttered on the one hand but including unconventional details that together bring an abundance of warmth and interest to the space.

The line that guided Gens and the couple is the creation of endless connections and connections between existing and new, between outside and inside, between classic and modern, between intimate and open, between white and colorful.

The result: a home adapted to a vibrant family life, full of warmth, love and color.

The following is greeted by a warm, somewhat rustic house, with a heavy wooden door, immersed entirely in green.

A multi-year chorizo tree will be revealed in all its glory near the entrance to the house that leads into a bright and spacious space, with old-fashioned light oak parquet and a Scandinavian-style mint kitchen, spiced with an iron island inlaid with handmade mosaic tiles from Morocco.

Almost no changes were made to the original structure of the house, but one of them was made here.

The sturdy structure of the house and the old interior design required very few structural repairs and upgrades.

One of the most prominent of these is the breaking of the built-in railing of the staircase leading to the half-levels.

Its lowering allowed an abundance of natural light to flood the public space and upper floors.

The couple's bedroom suite also got a new life after the abolition of the toilet cubicle and shower cubicle that were placed in it separately.

Gens has created a new and ultimate furniture placement plan and the light and electrical points have been re-wired according to it.

All carpentry items in the house have been designed and manufactured CUSTOM MADE so that they fit exactly to the needs of the family members.

The public space is divided into three areas: a living room, a dining area and a pleasure area that has become one of the most prominent features in the house.

It is located near the staircase in a location that was formerly used as a living room.

This is where family members tend to sit and spend time together and engage in their favorite hobbies.

The comfortable and pampering beanbags in the center are placed on a tapestry rug in shades of black and white, along with a piano and an asymmetrical airy library made of walnut and iron wood made and imported especially from Italy, which incorporates books, ornaments, art and a storage area.

Adjacent is the dining area for which a table with rounded minimalist lines was chosen to which a light oak bench and wooden and leather chairs purchased at the flea market were attached.

Above them hung an airy Petite friture lamp.

The intimate living room overlooks the green garden through the large windows.

In the center is a seating system upholstered in a purple fabric that includes a chaise longue and invites stretching, next to which are straw tables.

The original gypsum niche wall was taken care of by Gens and replaced with an airy oak shelf with a hidden TV screen on the back.

Handmade brass handles and jelly tiles add design interest in the bright pastel kitchen (Photo: PR, Assaf Pinchuk)

In the kitchen, a soothing and special color palette was chosen for the purity of the greens.

Gens borrowed the unconventional color from the jelize tiles (handmade Moroccan mosaic tiles) set on the island in the center of the space.

The kitchen cabinets are painted in a fresh, yet soothing mint green hue, combined with old-fashioned handmade brass handles.

No longer two separate compartments - the bathroom (Photo: PR, Assaf Pinchuk)

The contour of the master bedroom has not changed but the new bathroom has been rebuilt - instead of two separate compartments a common bathroom space.

In the room itself, new cabinets painted and installed in the color of the wall were built and installed, airy oak shelves hung on the wall and under the bed, a blue kilim rug was imported from Turkey and forms a kind of elegant stage that anchors it.

The bathroom floor is covered with handmade jelly tiles and the overall colorfulness of this space is happy, full of life and yet refined.

Peach-colored doors lead to the children's rooms.

Their walls were painted in soothing shades of pure green, light blue and gray.

The cabinets in each of the rooms are designed so that the module facing the entrance to the room is in fact a library instead of the wall of a standard closet.
