The police launched an anti-crime operation code-named "BRAVEDUKE".

Officers from the Criminal Division of the East Kowloon Region, the Tactical Unit of the East Kowloon Region, the Stormtrooper of the East Kowloon Region, Wong Tai Sin Police District, Sau Mau Ping Police District and Kwun Tong Police District at No. 103 Wai Yip Street, Ngau Tau Kok, Choi Hung Road, Wong Tai Sin 192 to 198 and 472 to 484 Kwun Tong Road smashed 3 suspected unlicensed bars and seized a total of about 600 cans of beer and 132 bottles of spirits, worth about 78,000 yuan.

During the operation, 3 men and 1 woman (21-43 years old) bar leaders were suspected of "unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages", "unlicensed possession of alcoholic beverages for sale" and violation of "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F); 38 men and 20 women (aged 15 to 44) were arrested for "drinking in premises without a liquor license". They were also suspected of violating the "Prevention and Control The Illness (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Ordinance (Cap. 599G) was voted against.

In addition, the Special Duty Squad and Intelligence Unit of the Tseung Kwan O Police District also smashed illegal mahjong gambling stalls in a unit at King Yung House, King Lam Estate.

A pair of men and women surnamed Lai (59 years old) and Chen (58 years old) were arrested on suspicion of "operating a gambling establishment" and violating Chapter 599F; 3 men and 6 women (58 to 85 years old) were arrested on suspicion of "operating in a gambling establishment" "Gambling" was arrested and charged for violating the "Gathering Restriction Order".

During the operation, the police seized 2 electric sparrow tables, about 300 yuan in gambling money and a batch of gambling equipment.
