Yesterday (4th), the Transport Department of Hong Kong Island Region, together with officers from various police districts on Hong Kong Island, carried out the "GOLDENSUN" operation in Hong Kong Island Region, and enforced law on multiple bicycle traffic accidents and illegal black spots in the district, and severely cracked down on bicycle violations. .

During the operation, police officers issued a total of 30 summonses, which mainly involved cyclists' failure to observe traffic signs, traffic lights or road markings and violations of the Road Traffic (Vehicle Construction and Maintenance) Regulations.

The police remind the public that Chapter 374 of the Laws of Hong Kong "Road Traffic Regulations" also applies to cyclists, calling on all cyclists to abide by relevant traffic regulations to reduce traffic accidents and protect themselves and other road users.
