Protests renewed today in the city of Tripoli, northern Lebanon, over the deteriorating living conditions.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that a number of protesters cut off the Tripoli-Akkar highway with burning tires and set fire to an old car in its midst, in protest against the poor living conditions.

In Beirut, protesters staged a sit-in to reject the deteriorating economic and living conditions and held up banners calling for accountability for the corrupt.

Since October 17, 2019, many Lebanese regions have witnessed demonstrations and sit-ins to protest against the deteriorating living and economic conditions, and to call for fighting corruption in the country.
