Seine-Saint-Denis: the victim had invented his sequestration and sent three men to prison

2021-02-05T19:52:06.090Z

Three men found themselves in pretrial detention after fanciful accusations by complainant who said he was assaulted in Epin

The victim did not appear in court to answer the many questions raised by this smoky case of violence with sequestration as a result.

On the other hand, she poured herself out in front of the police, when she filed a complaint on Thursday.

During his hearing, this man says that he was beaten up on Wednesday, to the point that he was coughing up blood.

His alleged torturers, all around 25 years old, also allegedly burned his hair and ended up sequestering him in the common areas of a building in Epinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis).

But in all this very detailed account, there was nothing true.

This was estimated by the court, which released the three defendants tried for acts of robbery with violence and kidnapping.

A very detailed story

It's 5 a.m. Wednesday when a small group of seriously tipsy pals begin to make bets on one of them being able to backwheel on a bike.

The future complainant complies but by realizing his feat, he breaks the bike.

The owner asks him to reimburse it and they go to the first distributor.

But he fails to withdraw the money.

It was then that they would have decided to kidnap him, still according to the version of the victim who will not be stingy with details: “They kicked me in the elevator up to the 11th floor.

Then they threatened me with an Opinel and said they were going to cut off my fingers and [my sex].

Then they leaned me out of the window, ”he told the police.

He was also reportedly forced to undress entirely.

No trace of the abuse suffered

But this Friday, as the debates, the complainant's version inexorably disintegrates.

The many abuses that the latter says he suffered left no trace.

Upon examination by the medico-judicial unit (UMJ), the doctor only detected a wound in the arch.

No trace of other blows, nor the slightest scorched hair is noted.

The deputy prosecutor also doubts the veracity of this story.

"There are a lot of gray areas," he says in the preamble.

While the three defendants are found with objects belonging to the victim, but they explain that they were given to them as a pledge.

He is asking for acquittal for the confinement and sentences of two, three and six months in prison for the alleged thefts.

The president, Bénédicte Berry, was not convinced by this story either.

She ruled that "in view of his statements, the victim exaggerated and lied" and she advised the three defendants to "stay away from this gentleman and not to hang out at 5 am in the vicinity".
