The African Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus on the African continent has reached 3626960.
The center added that the total number of deaths from the disease in Africa has reached 93,647 to date, noting that the total number of people recovering from the disease across the continent has reached 3128534 cases.
The center indicated that the African countries most affected in terms of the number of positive cases include South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Ethiopia.
South Africa has recorded the highest death rate on the African continent, at 45,605 to date.
