A series of demonstrations and protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and government corruption are expected tonight (Saturday) for the 33rd week in a row.

The main demonstrations are expected in front of the prime minister's residence in Jerusalem and near the Netanyahu family's home in Caesarea.

Prior to the demonstrations, hundreds of people protested at intersections, bridges and interchanges across the country.

Before the demonstration in the capital, there will be two protest marches, from two different centers, towards the area of the Prime Minister's Residence.

One march will depart as weekly from the String Bridge, and the second march will leave the village of Silwan near the Old City.

The march in the east of the city will be held by the Peace Now movement, in cooperation with organizations and protest activists and Palestinian residents of the neighborhood, "in protest against the expected expulsion of dozens of families by settlers," the movement said.

In preparation for the demonstrations in the capital, the police blocked the streets of Ben Maimon, Gaza, Paris Square, Agron, King George and Keren Hayesod.

Also, other nearby streets leading to these streets are expected to be blocked.

The Komi Israel youth movement said that "more than 5,000 Israelis, who are all of our grandparents, have already paid with their lives for Netanyahu's failures in managing the corona. Racial theory for the Knesset, for its personal survival. "

The "Prime Minister" movement said in preparation for the demonstrations that "Israel is in complete loss of control and Netanyahu is making an alliance with Kahanists on the eve of his trial. There is no red line that the man will not cross to escape the law."

According to the movement, "over 5,000 deaths from the plague, loss of trust and a collapsing economy leave no room for doubt - Bibi is to blame for the failure and the blood on his hands. The country must be saved from the corrupt."

The Peace Now movement said ahead of the demonstration and march from Silwan to Balfour that "we will not remain silent as the government helps settler organizations conduct, under the auspices of a discriminatory law, a racist struggle to evict Palestinian families from their homes in order to 'Judaize' East Jerusalem."

The movement added that "this is a protest against justice, equality and morality, and a direct line is drawn between corruption in Silwan and corruption in Balfour. When our neighbors are in danger of deportation, it is our duty to stand up and prevent it."

What are the demonstrations about?

The demonstrators are protesting against Netanyahu's continued tenure at the same time as being charged with a crime, claiming, among other things, that he cannot separate his personal and legal good from his political decisions.

The prime minister is charged with three counts.

In the 1000 case

(the benefit benefits affair), Netanyahu is accused of receiving benefits worth about NIS 700,000 from businessmen Arnon Milchen and James Packer, while he served as prime minister.

The main gifts were cigars, champagne packages and jewelry.

In addition, it was alleged that Netanyahu acted in Milchen's favor in three matters, in which the businessman sought his intervention: he approached US Secretary of State John Kerry to extend the businessman's visa, he approached Finance Minister Yair Lapid to extend the exemption. A tax for returning residents, and he worked to promote a merger of "Keshet" and "Reshet" - ostensibly at Milchen's request.

According to the lawsuit, these acts damaged the image of the public service and the public's trust in it.

The 2000 case

(the Netanyahu-Mozes affair) deals with talks between Netanyahu and Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Noni Mozes. In those talks, the two allegedly discussed the benefit of the prime minister's coverage of the Yedioth group, in exchange for imposing restrictions on the newspaper's main competitor - Israel Today. The person who offered the deal is Mozes, so he is accused of bribery. On the other hand, the ombudsman was also convinced that Netanyahu did not intend to complete the bribe deal, but continued the talks with Mozes to improve his coverage in the Yedioth group, and there are certain actions to do so.

Case 4000

(Bezeq-Walla affair) The most serious case for the prime minister concerns regulatory benefits worth hundreds of millions of shekels, which Netanyahu allegedly granted to Elowitz.

In return, according to the indictment, Elovich acted to skew the coverage on the Walla!

NEWS, which was under his control.
