Israir's ATR plane landed today in Istanbul, Turkey, after receiving all the required approvals.
Israeli planes are not allowed to land in Turkey due to security arrangements required by Israeli security personnel on the ground of the foreign country, and additional security arrangements in any country where Israeli planes land.
Although there are currently almost no passenger flights from Israel, this is actually a passenger flight and not a cargo flight.
The plane has already returned to Israel after a short stay on the ground in Istanbul.
Israir's ATR aircraft is the smallest aircraft of the Israeli airline, and it can perform flights for relatively short distances.
The company usually operates flights with the plane to Eilat and nearby destinations abroad.
