Diana Raz, 32, was murdered by her husband yesterday (Friday) in the town of Na'ala in Binyamin.
Her husband, who is suspected of murder, is a police officer in the Israel Police.

The details of the investigation show that the husband, who serves as a patrolman at the Modi'in police station, shot his wife to death around 14:00, and after the act called the police and announced that he had murdered his wife.

The husband was arrested and taken in for questioning.

The couple were not known to police.
However, an acquaintance of the family said that problems and tensions had arisen between them recently.
Diana worked as a relationship coach, the murder suspect worked as a coacher before being drafted into the police force.

Advocate Moshe Alon, the defense attorney for the murder suspect, said:
"This is currently the beginning of an investigation and there are many issues that need to be examined.
The suspect cooperates in his interrogation and submits his version, which will be examined by DIP.
Tomorrow evening, the suspect will be brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for an extended detention.
He is currently being questioned by DIP investigators.
In the initial version he provided he claimed that there was a quarrel between him and his wife and that he lost control.
His defense attorney is expected to ask the court to send him for a psychiatric examination to determine if this is a temporary insanity.
The couple were not widely recognized.
