Konrad Rausch fondly remembers the few events that could still take place last year.
Rausch is on the board of the Herrsching Kolping Family, which has 55 members, and was delighted to be able to take part in a number of annual receptions last year.
Nobody had expected that social life would have to be more or less shut down afterwards.
Herrsching
- And yet 250 hours of voluntary work come together.
On behalf of chairman Wolfgang Herre, Rausch has summarized the activities of the Kolping Family - as a press release instead of an annual meeting.
In the focus of Rausch as the representative for training and crafts, the participation in the career information evening of the secondary school was of particular importance in this context.
For this year's Training Day, he has already designed an advertisement in which the offers that the Kolping Society has for young professionals are summarized.
Another focus of the association year was the family and it will remain so.
Last year the Kolping Family Herrsching distributed brochures with suggestions for family vacations in the church and in the family center.
Last year it was planned to take part in the solemn consecration of the new Bishop of Augsburg, Bertram Meier.
This excursion fell victim to the pandemic, as did the district assembly, the Way of the Cross to Andechs, Easter bonfire, May devotions, parish festivals, mountain mass and also the popular home visits from St.
At least the big shoe collection campaign could take place.
“Now more than ever” the Kolping Families said to each other.
Ten packages with 160 pairs of shoes came together in Herrsching for people who cannot afford shoes.
Training and crafts as well as family work should be the focus again in the current year.
The "planning work", according to Rausch, should begin in the second half of February.
On the program are again St. Nicholas' home visits - in the hope that they will be allowed again.
