Applause for Zuckerberg?

Nine years after they were lost, the lost tefillin returned to their owners - thanks to a Facebook post that received hundreds of shares and drew dozens of comments and messages.

It all started in 2012, when a soldier named Aharon Cohen hitchhiked in Doron Ben-Yehuda's car, forgetting his tefillin in the car.

The driver tried to find the soldier, but was unable to do so, and shortly afterwards he died suddenly.

The whole story is forgotten, and it is likely that Cohen thought he would never see his tefillin.

Nine years have passed since Doron's death, and recently his widow, Tal Kaufman Ben-Yehuda, decided to put things in order with her late husband's belongings.

Among the objects she found a bag of tefillin with the name "Aharon Cohen" on it - and she remembered the story.

At first, Tal thought of donating the tefillin to a synagogue, but eventually decided to try the power of the network.

She turned to Eliran Tshuva, an ambulance driver and Facebook anchor, hoping that sharing through him would help her reach the tefillin loser.

"I am looking to return a lost property to its owner," Tal wrote to Eliran.

He forgot a bag containing tefillin and a small arrangement.

My husband tried to find the man but was unsuccessful, he died shortly afterwards and was not enough.

It blossomed from my memory and only now, when I put my husband's things in order (yes you are not wrong, 9 years later) did I find the tefillin and remember the story.

I was thinking of donating to the synagogue but I would be very happy if we could find the guy.

I believe you will be more successful than me. "

Eliran enlisted for the mission and posted a picture of the tefillin with the story of the loss on Facebook.

The story has been shared hundreds of times, including in huge groups such as "Need Moses".

Indeed, the network did its thing and only two days after the publication was found the loser.

"Thank you very much everyone !!!", wrote Aharon Cohen, "I own the tefillin !!!".

Thus, the surfers received the full story: "When Aharon Cohen was at a bar mitzvah, his grandfather bought him these tefillin from the late Rabbi Nissim Yagan," Eliran told surfers, "since then these tefillin have accompanied him wherever he has been.

"In India, in Nepal, during his military service, every day he put on the tefillin he received from his grandfather."

At the time the tefillin was lost, Aharon was a regular soldier and served in the community of Esh Kodesh.

He told Eliran: "About nine years ago, Aaron was a regular soldier and served in the village of Esh Kodesh. 'I went on a ride with a nice guy who dropped me off at French Hill, and since then the tefillin have disappeared. I turned the whole world upside down to find them."

About four months ago, Aharon's grandfather passed away, and miraculously he remembered tefillin two weeks ago and told at home how much he was missing and that it was a memory of his grandfather.

"And as if by chance, a few days ago Tal decided to put things in order for her late husband, who died nine years ago, and found Aaron's tefillin among his belongings and turned to me to publish so that we could reach the lost husband," Eliran said.

You bombarded them with tags and messages on Messenger.

I received dozens of WhatsApp messages and phone calls from all over the country.

And thanks to you we found the lost husband, Aaron Cohen.

The excitement is indescribable, thank you very much. "

In the coming days, Tal and Aharon will meet and the tefillin bought by the grandfather will finally return to their original owners.
