Various forms of Arabic calligraphy combined to form 30 paintings, which were included in the fourth exhibition of Arabic calligraphy hosted by the Al-Assad Gallery of Fine Arts in Aleppo.

The exhibition supervisor, plastic artist Ahmed Qassem, head of the Arabic Calligraphy Committee in the Directorate of Endowments of Aleppo, emphasized the importance of the exhibition, which included works of 15 amateurs who underwent courses in Arabic calligraphy in addition to paintings and works of professional calligraphers in the city of Aleppo.

Mustafa Dahan, Head of the Guidance and Counseling Department at the Endowments Directorate, pointed out that the importance of the exhibition in combining the Arabic language and the aesthetics of calligraphy within the framework of preserving the language of Dhad, considering that these exhibitions provide an opportunity for a very large number of students to develop their talents to express their attachment to their cultural heritage.

Plastic artist Mahmoud Al-Sajer, Secretary of the Plastic Artists Union Branch in Aleppo, drew attention to the diversity of the presented works in terms of their containing important artistic experiences and techniques for the participants through the rules and foundations of Arabic calligraphy.

Among the participants in the exhibition is the plastic artist Ayman Amin, a doctor in the art of Arabic calligraphy, who confirmed his permanent participation in such activities, presenting two paintings, one in the old Moroccan calligraphy and the other in the old copies.

While the calligrapher Ali Al-Zahir explained that Arabic calligraphy is considered an Islamic art, the interface of the Arabic language, and the father of the arts, because it occupies a high position among the races of artistic creativity.

Among the young participants was Bilal Basmaji, who expressed his love for the hobby of Arabic calligraphy because it is a high-end art that is threatened with disappearing.
