For many people, influencers are role models and idols.

But what looks so easy on social media posts is strenuous work.

Munich

- You have a following that numbers most of the big cities pale.

They travel to beautiful places and earn their money with it: Influencers seem to get rich with impressions from their everyday life.

But what does life really look like behind the perfect online facade?

And what does it actually mean to be an “influencer”?

For our new series, we spoke to the biggest net stars from Munich * - from fashion icons to yoga masters.

And it turns out: There's hard work behind the perfect snapshots and short video clips.

Influencer on Instagram: Anni Jung started it just for fun

Anni Jung (30) has always enjoyed taking photos.

But while she used to get only a few to see, she now shares snapshots of herself with almost half a million people - and thanks to perfect photos, a hobby has turned into a lucrative job.

The Munich resident runs one of the most successful fashion channels in the Isar metropolis under the name “@Anniju” and supplies her “followers *”, as they say in social media circles, with new photos, videos and fashion inspiration every day.

Everything starts in 2015 when Anni starts on Instagram *.

“It was just for fun back then,” she recalls.

The young woman begins to show new outfits every day.

That she will be able to make a living from it at some point is not even an issue.

But soon the first fashion label approaches her and offers her a cooperation.

It's getting more and more - today she receives up to 50 emails on some days.

“Often you can sort out half of it relatively quickly,” says Jung.

Influencer on Instagram: The day is firmly planned

But what looks so relaxed and light in your photos costs one thing above all: a lot of time.

Because being an influencer always means putting new "content", as they call their content - i.e. pictures, videos, Insta-Stories * and Co. - online.

And: to interact with the people who follow your own channel - every day.

"I can't remember the last time I wasn't online for a whole day," says Anni.

Even on vacation, the first thought is the perfect photo.

Only when that is done can the influencer really relax.

But that was the case before, she emphasizes.

"Beautiful photos were always important to me as memories."

Every evening Jung writes a plan for the next day: Which pictures have to be online tomorrow?

Are new pictures taken?

Or is there any paperwork that needs to be done?

Jung almost never has a completely free day.

“But I don't mind,” says the 30-year-old.

"I still have a lot of fun with it."

Influencer on Instagram: With me, not everything is always perfect, says Anni Jung

And it's lucrative too, she doesn't deny that.

She doesn't want to say how much she earns.

At the same time, having so many followers also means a lot of responsibility.

"I now choose my collaborations very carefully," says Anni.

After all, she wants people to be able to rely on her recommendations.

And it also deliberately shows negative sides.

“Nobody should think that everything is always perfect for me.” With one exception: her pictures.
