In 1987 he founded the Euroimmun company.
The company developed procedures for the detection of autoimmune and infectious diseases.
Today it has 3100 employees and branches in 17 countries.
In 2017, Stöcker had sold the company to a US group - for a total of 1.2 billion euros, he collected 600 million himself.
