Today, Damascus Citadel hosted 200 artworks by a number of children from the Vanguards of the Baath Organization and a show of folk costumes.

In the exhibition organized by the Baath Vanguards Organization under the title “Greetings of Love and Loyalty to the Heroes of the Syrian Arab Army and the Souls of the Righteous Martyrs,” the children presented artworks that varied between paintings, figures, embroidery, crochet and weaving works that were carried out during training workshops in which the children of the organization participated, and their topics focused on the Syrian heritage and expressed The peculiarity of each province.

In a press statement, a member of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, head of the Education and Vanguards Office, Yasser al-Shoufi considered that what the children of the organization presented in their exhibition is a message that the will of creativity and giving continues to the Syrians despite all the difficulties imposed by the terrorist war on their country and they are determined to continue their lives and build their homeland that was made Heroes of the Syrian Arab Army for him blood and lives.

In a similar statement, the head of the Baath Vanguards Organization, Dr. Izzat Arabi Katebi, indicated that the children expressed spontaneously and simply through their works their love for the homeland and their appreciation for the army's sacrifices and their hope for a bright future, indicating that the exhibition represented a real opportunity to invest their energies and creativity.

The exhibition included, according to Heba Saeed, a member of the leadership of the Baath Vanguards Organization, head of the Central Fine Arts Office, the product of nine art workshops recently held by the organization, where appropriate works were chosen for participation from various governorates, and the Damascus Citadel was chosen to harmonize with the heritage and folkloric exhibits and present an integrated visual and material painting.

Director of Damascus Education, Suleiman Al-Younes pointed out that the exhibition is an opportunity to show the talents of the participating children, learn about their creativity, and choose distinguished people to be the nucleus of future creators and artists in various fields.

The children participating in the exhibition range from 6 to 12 years old. They made their paintings a bridge to introduce their cards and artistic talents. Both Ayat Al-Khunayfis, who presented a painting of copper engraving, and Sham Ahmad, who presented more than one painting of cork and colored paper, referred to the importance of the exhibition to introduce the public to their work in When Lemar Abdelkader saw that the exhibition was her first step to display her skill in weaving and crochet.

A number of students of the Applied Arts Institute participated in a pavilion in the exhibition, which will continue at the Citadel of Damascus until Thursday 11 February, with works in the field of sculpture.
