Some hairdressing salons also work in lockdown.

Quite legally.

Although reports came in and the police were there.

How it works?

An example in Poing.

Poing - There have been a total of five advertisements in the past few weeks, said Kathrin and Johannes Mittermeier and Carlos Barroca.

You are the managing director of the three Unison hairdressing salons in Poing as well as one salon each in Munich and Erding.

Because the lights are always on in the salons, people go in and out and people actually work inside, this was reported to the police by strangers.

Lockdown in Bavaria: five ads in one week alone - but this hairdresser is working

In an interview with our newspaper, the managing directors frankly admit that work is going on in the salons.

During the corona lockdown, during which hairdressers are banned from working.

But: It is not illegal work, but completely legal activities.

“The training of our apprentices has to continue,” say Kathrin and Johannes Mittermeier.

The total of seven trainees practice in the salons, on model heads, in other words: dolls.

In compliance with all hygiene and distance rules.

Other hair salons do the same.

The tutorial units are particularly important for those trainees who are about to take the exam, according to the managing directors.

In addition, explain Kathrin and Johannes Mittermeier as well as Carlos Barroca, every examinee is officially allowed to have a real model, i.e. a real person.

As a practice and examination piece.

“But always the same, not different,” add the three master hairdressers.

Means: Only one and the same trainee practices on this one real head, regardless of the haircut.

In Germany there are 80,000 hairdressers with 240,000 employees.

The salons have been closed since mid-December due to the corona pandemic.

In Bavaria, not only are the companies closed, but the service as such is prohibited.

Say: also home visits.

"Our employees also receive inquiries as to whether they want to come over for a coffee," say Kathrin and Johannes Mittermeier.

Have a coffee and cut your hair.

Nobody goes into that, that would be illegal work.

Around 40 people are employed in the five Unison salons they operate.

Currently, everyone is on short-time work, they are not actually active - with the exception of the trainees and Kathrin Mittermeier herself.

She has additional training and health insurance approval for second hair, she is allowed to work for medical reasons.

For example, for cancer patients who lose their hair due to chemotherapy.

But this work only if a prescription from the doctor is available.

Distance teaching with Microsoft's Teams system: not everyone can see through that.

It works in the elementary school in Pliening because committed parents support teachers and parents.

On a popular promenade in the municipality of Bruck, however, a good dozen dead foxes are hanging on wooden poles in front of a farm.

Walkers react in shock.

That's behind it.

Everything from the region is available in the Ebersberg newsletter.
