Cincinnati / USA - Due to the effects of the coronavirus, there is currently a real pet boom in Germany.

For example, thousands of people in Munich got a dog * during the lockdown.

Animal rights activists, however, see the danger that many owners could at some point lose the time and interest in their "lockdown dog" and then want to get rid of them again.

A similar fate could have happened to a boxer hybrid who was around ten weeks old in the United States.

The puppy Tipper was apparently packed into a backpack by its unscrupulous ex-owner and simply thrown away on the edge of a street near Cincinnati.

Puppy Tippy was simply dumped on the roadside by its former owner

Luck in misfortune: of all things, a garbage man became the savior for the little four-legged friend, which had been ruthlessly disposed of like garbage by its former owner.

Aaron Kinsel was on a tour in Colerain Township with his truck when he noticed a strange backpack by the way.

As stated in a press release from his company Rumpke Waste & Recycling, on closer inspection he noticed that something was moving in the bag.

He stopped to find that there was indeed something living in the backpack: a disturbed little boxer mixed breed dog who was apparently struggling to survive.

Without hesitation, he grabbed the animal and drove to the nearest vet practice.

There he was told how bad things really were with Tipper.

Because: The bitch was completely dehydrated and almost died of thirst.

Particularly tragic: Not only was she treated like rubbish by her former owner, to make matters worse, she also injured her leg - so bad that it had to be amputated.

After successfully surviving the operation, the next stop for the little dog lady would probably have been the animal shelter - but then Aaron Kinsel made a touching decision.

After all the hardships that Tipper had to endure, he wanted to give her a loving home - with his own family.

"I had the feeling that I should find her," says the garbage man in the press release of the apparently fateful encounter with his new pet.
