Hummus-Sana
The Homs Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with the Education Directorate, carried out an afforestation campaign in the garden of the Martyr Abdullah Khadour School in Baidar Al-Rafea village in the western countryside of the governorate.
The head of Tal Kalakh Forestry Division, Engineer Elias Bitar, stated that during the campaign, 100 forest plantations of the type of pine and eucalyptus were planted by the students themselves, indicating that the aim of the campaign is to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment and society of the younger generation and the importance of preserving and protecting trees.
The school principal, Darine Khadour, explained that the campaign aims to develop the spirit of participation and love of nature in addition to adding an aesthetic view of the school.
On their part, a number of students expressed their happiness in participating in the campaign and planting different types of trees within their school.
