The IDF, in cooperation with police forces, yesterday (Sunday) conducted a pursuit of a minority member from the Bedouin diaspora, who managed to infiltrate the Nabataean air force base, one of the army's most important and sensitive bases.
Earlier, the man who infiltrated the IDF base, stole a civilian vehicle, and police officers who were called to the scene, began chasing him. The vehicle and as part of the escape attempt, penetrated into the military base.
Army and police forces searched for him throughout the base in Nabataeans, whose territory is vast, but have not yet been able to locate the minority member whose traces have disappeared since passing through the entrance gates.
An IDF spokesman commented on the incident: "As part of a police chase that followed a civilian vehicle, apparently stolen in the south of the country, the vehicle was stopped at the entrance to one of the IDF bases and an IDF and Israeli police are now pursuing a number of suspects."
