The Russian Air Force has successfully tested a new missile capable of destroying aircraft carriers and ground targets with great effectiveness.
A military source told Sputnik that several Kha-32 missiles were fired from a Tu-22M3 bomber, which hit its targets accurately.
He pointed out that the missile is particularly anti-surface ships and can destroy aircraft carriers. It has a range of 1,000 km and a speed of about Mach 5 / equivalent to five times the speed of sound when flying at an altitude of more than 30 km.
The Tu22M3M is an advanced version of the Tu22M3 and is equipped with a new tenancy and navigation system, new avionics, communication devices, radar and electronic jamming, and its first test prototype made its first flight on December 28, 2018.
