The elements of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorate in Rural Damascus seized a foodstuff warehouse, a coffee factory and a sweets workshop for containing expired and without specifications, and 7 bakeries with violations of bad bread making and selling at an extra price.
In a statement, which SANA received a copy of, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection stated that the elements of the Damascus Countryside Directorate had seized a warehouse of foodstuffs in its possession of 254 kg of expired rice, and a coffee factory in Al-Harjala that had raw materials “cappuccino, coffee whitener and cocoa” expired and without specifications.
The patrol personnel also seized a confectionery workshop in Moadamiyat al-Sham containing expired materials “food improvers and sauces” and a grocery store in Jaramana in violation of the possession, display and sale of expired materials and with old dates that included “carbonated water, jelly, blossom water and rose water,” according to the statement that referred to the regulation of rationing against violators And seize the violating materials duly until the court ruling is issued
The directorate organized 39 seizures against 7 bakeries in al-Qatifah, al-Raheba, al-Marah, Jaraya, Bebela, Shebaa, and al-Ghazlaniyah, for violations of bad bread making, overpriced selling and wholesaling of bread. The Mazot Center in Maaloula and other shops also seized violations of possession of expired materials in al-Hamma, not announcing prices, and not showing the purchase invoice and showing Irregular bills.
