An investigation was opened for "
threats to a person in charge of a public service mission
" after a philosophy teacher at a high school in Trappes (Yvelines) received threats following several media interventions on the assassination of Samuel Paty.

We were informed of concerns vis-à-vis the professor against whom threats were allegedly made,
" the Versailles prosecutor's office told AFP, specifying that "
the facts were brought to our attention by a third party
”.
The investigation has been entrusted to the PJ of Versailles since January 26.
In recent days, a philosophy teacher, Didier Lemaire, has indicated in several media that he was the subject of threats after the publication of an open letter in
the Obs
, shortly after the assassination of Samuel Paty, and that 'he enjoyed "
police protection
".
A police source confirmed the establishment of a non-permanent security device, especially around the establishment.
The protection service (SDLP), a unit particularly dedicated to the protection of threatened persons, "
was not responsible for ensuring his safety,

After being received Monday at the Academy of Versailles, it was decided that the professor would continue to teach in the establishment, the rectorate told AFP in a statement.
