Biden: We will not remove sanctions on Iran until you stop enriching uranium (from Twitter)

The United States announced today (Monday) that it will return to the UN Human Rights Council as an observer society, while trying to pass reforms in the "flawed body." The Trump administration expelled the United States as a member of the 47-member council in June 2018, "biased against Israel and systematically."

the announcement was made by Mark Ksaiir, director of the US representative to the UN in Geneva, and later foreign minister said the United States Anthony Blinkn that "Biden administration pledged to re US foreign policy centered on democracy, human rights and equality ".

He said, "Efficient use of multilateral tools is an important component of this vision, and in this context the President instructed the Foreign Ministry to return immediately and firmly to cooperation with the UN Human Rights Council." And that Washington demands to be removed for a long time.

"We recognize that the Human Rights Council is a flawed body, in need of reform of its agenda, membership and focus, including its disproportionate focus on Israel.

However, our withdrawal in June 2018 did nothing for significant change, but created a vacuum without the American leadership that authoritarian states took advantage of, ”Blinken said.
