On social networks, the case went viral and came back highly commented on by users who debated for and against.

The images were captured in January, when at a Pilar tollbooth a motorcyclist tried to evade without paying a toll and ended up being savagely

beaten by a policeman with his machete

.

The case received the most varied opinions on Twitter, the social network where the case went viral the most.

The motorcyclist took a real beating when he tried to avoid the Panamericana tollbooth.

A police officer got in his way, knocked him off the motorcycle with a baton and then

continued to hit him on the floor

.

Although the event occurred at the beginning of the year, it only emerged in recent days.

A camera shows the moment when the driver of a gray car paid in the cabin of the Pilar de Panamericana branch.

When the barrier is raised, a motorcyclist tries to take advantage of the situation to pass without paying.

A policeman who was guarding the cabins interposed him and with two strokes of the cane, he lowered him off the motorcycle.

Already on the ground, the video shows how the motorcyclist tries to prevent further hitting him and

at least half a dozen more hits

are observed

until two cab employees plus one motorist decide to intervene.

In tolls, controls have been added since the pandemic and they still remain.

The motorcyclist was detained by the same workers of Autopistas del Sol. Justice is already intervening in a case entitled "resistance to authority and injuries."

On Twitter, user comments raised the debate.

"At the outset he stopped him by pulling him off the motorcycle, he had already grabbed him. But he was cruel and had to machete him .... reasons? Maybe the policeman had a bad day personally and was unloaded. Horrible attitude. Stop and fine and voila. The aggression was out of place, "said Miriam Belluzo.

But another user, @fercho_adr, contradicted her: "There is resistance to the authority. They wanted to escape to avoid the fine ... The policeman's actions are perfect. Perhaps his hand went a little too far, it's true. But he gave the Opportunity to give him a fine and the guy went overboard. "

Another tweeter, Andrea Bett, opined in tune: "They stick to your car to avoid paying, they have no respect. It is very good to be stopped. If you get on a highway the motorcycle does not exempt you from the obligation to pay" .

And Patricio Plusman responded by attacking her with irony: "I hope this is the day you pass a red light, so I'll wait for you with a Baseball Bat and I will disarm your car."

Telepases on highways doubled

Autopistas Urbanas SA, the concessionaire of tolls on the highways of the City of Buenos Aires, reported this Wednesday that the number of subscribers to TelePase doubled in the last six months and that 85% of users already have this system of payment to circulate.

According to the company, from August 2020 to the present, 1,060,362 new users were registered, bringing the total to 1,995,241.

In the middle of last year, the mandatory use of the TelePase was imposed to be able to circulate on the 25 de Mayo, Perito Moreno, Illia and Dellepiane highways.

The use of this system, according to the official calculation, saves the user "more than one day a year of time" by not having to stop and lower the window to pay by using this modality.

In addition, it avoids the use of cash and contact with the toll booth in complex times of pandemic.

The TelePase can be paid with a credit card, but for those who do not have it, they will be able to pay their tolls through Mercado Pago's virtual wallet.
