At about 11 o'clock that night, a woman of Chinese nationality between the ages of 16 and 18 brought the same 15-year-old girl to the Shizu Hotel to attend the meeting.
It is known that the male victim did not request to find the underage compensated dating girl.
Chen Shizhang pointed out that after the victim handed over HK$19,000 to the Chinese woman, the victim and the aid-accompanied girl checked in and rented the hotel.
In the meantime, the aided dating girl used different excuses to delay time. It is estimated that she is waiting for her companion to call the police and waiting for the police to arrive. Then she will wait for the opportunity to escape.
In the end, the police arrested the 15-year-old girl for "acquiring property by deception" on the same night.
16-year-old Ma Pi was arrested for soliciting a young girl
The police believe that criminal syndicates use social media to solicit young girls with aided dating, look for targeted clients, and then use different methods and excuses to defraud the victim of money.
After investigating, the detectives identified a 16-year-old Chinese national "Ma Pi" involved in the case and arrested him in a public housing estate in Yau Tong yesterday (8th) afternoon for the crime of "acquiring property by deception."
The police believed that the arrested man was a key member of the syndicate. He defrauded in the name of arranging compensated dating and played the role of an intermediary in social media to find targets online.
The police stated that the arrests are still continuing and it is not ruled out that more people will be arrested later.
The police appealed that the crime of obtaining property by deception is a serious crime, and the maximum sentence is 10 years in prison upon conviction.
In addition, the police reminded parents that during the anti-epidemic period and the approach of the Lunar New Year holidays, teenagers and students do not have to attend classes.
