Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
Dozens of Palestinians, in a stand in the occupied city of Jerusalem, indicated a rejection of the Israeli occupation’s plan to displace 17 families from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the southeast of the city and seize their homes to expand settlement operations and Judaize the Holy City.
Wafa news agency reported that the participants in the pause raised Palestinian flags and banners calling for an immediate halt to settlements and affirming that Jerusalem was and will remain the eternal capital of Palestine.
The coordinator of the National Coalition for Human Rights in Jerusalem, Zakaria Odeh, said that the occupation's takeover of Palestinian homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood threatens to displace 83 Palestinians and replace them with settlers as part of the ongoing policy of Judaization practiced by the occupation authorities in occupied Jerusalem, pointing out that Jerusalemites will go to the International Criminal Court for the first time after Declaration of its jurisdiction over the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967.
