At about 1:46 am, the police received a report from residents of Ho Choi Mansion, Nos. 42-58A On Hing Street, stating that they heard two loud noises and suspected that someone had fallen from a height.

Rescuers arrived at the report and found a man and a woman lying on the platform. The man was certified dead at the scene; the firefighter set up a lift to rescue the woman who was severely injured and returned to the ground. After being rescued by an ambulance to Pok Oi Hospital, the same reported Died.

According to on-the-spot news, the man and woman who fell from the building are about 60 years old. They are a couple. They were suspected of being troubled by money problems. They originally went to Huangquan with their son and family of three. Before falling from the building, they also sent a text message to their friends that they were seeking death. It was too late to call the police.

The son of the two men did not fall off the building. After investigation, the police arrested him on suspicion of a "suicide agreement." He was arrested and taken away by the black cloth. The police are investigating the incident.

On the evening of February 1, Haocai House was classified as a "restricted area" by the authorities until it was closed at about 11:40 the next morning.

At about 2 am on the 2nd, 172 residents were tested and no confirmed cases were found.
